Childhood trauma explained !!

joatkine

Childhood trauma can significantly impact a child’s behaviour and development. Here are some key points to understand:

Behavioural Responses: Children who experience trauma often exhibit behaviours such as aggression or withdrawal

Emotional impact: Childhood trauma can lead to repressed memories and emotions, which might resurface in adulthood as anxiety, PTSD, mood swings and struggle to cope with changes in your life.

Authenticity and Trust Issues: Traumatized children might struggle with authenticity and trust. They may hide their feelings or lie due to the fear of being disbelief or fear of punishment.

Understanding these behaviours can help in providing the necessary support and interventions to aid in their healing process.

Our lion program looks at the behaviour around the trauma and installs coping skills and knowledge to help the client move forward within their lives in a positive pathway.
